We take the greatest care when we reupholster your furniture. We use various traditional upholstery stitching techniques used for hundreds of years. Antique Furniture
We often work on antique items of furniture and traditional furniture which often has huge sentimental value within a family. We work and store items with this in mind at all times, treating every piece of furniture in our care with the utmost respect. Our workmanship is our pride and joy, giving you peace of mind as you leave us to work on your piece.
Bespoke Furniture
As well as reupholstery many customers come to us to create complete new upholstery work for a bespoke piece of furniture. Handmade to your specification, we can help you bring your ideas, drawings and pictures to life with our made-to-measure upholstery service. The magic will then be created in our Suffolk showroom.
Choice of fabrics
Here at Katharine Ellen Designs, we have an array of stunning fabrics to choose from. We can help and guide you through ensuring the right fabric for your furniture. Transforming it to fit perfectly with your dream interior ideas and colour scheme, as well as your budget.
Fixed covers
We create stunning fixed covers as well as loose covers. Fixed covers have the advantage of being able to follow integrate shapes and form, although are not as easy to clean as loose covers they are often the best way of showcasing an item of furniture to its full potential.
However old your furniture is, and whatever style you are looking to achieve, we are able to bring your furniture back to life so it can be loved all over again.
Sometimes very loved furniture is in need of some frame repair work. We use a local woodworker who is long established in his trade and always provides the very best workmanship and service.
